Springtime
Activities From the end of March to the middle of June it is traditional lambing season at Garroch and the hills come alive with moorland birds and flowers. This is the season for stunning clear skies and sunsets and crisp sunrises. At dawn, birds bring the land alive as they make nests for their young families and young fawns are starting life. We have fantastic locations for stargazing and the night skies are generally clearer than at any other season. The weather conditions are varied but good and the temperature is perfect for hillwalking. Grouse can be heard cackling during their mating season and the fishing begins. |
